Abstract guidelines
Nofoma 2011 and the Educators' Day are introducing structured abstracts following Emerald's guidelines. Abstracts are therefore structured the same way as for the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management which will publish best papers from the conference.
Abstracts should be 200-250 words in length. You will find examples of structured abstracts on the Emerald website (following the link above) and by looking at recent numbers of IJPDLM.
(1) To submit your abstract, please choose
- Whether your abstract is to be submitted for Nofoma or the Educators' Day
- The topic from the Call for Papers your abstract corresponds to
- Note which of your co-authors will present the paper at the conference (NB! This co-author needs to be registered for the conference as for the paper to be included in the conference proceedings.)
(2) Write the abstract following these categories:

What are the reason(s) for writing the paper or the aims of the research?

Research limitations/implications (if applicable)
If research is reported on in the paper this section must be completed and should include suggestions for future research and any identified limitations in the research process.
Practical implications (if applicable)
What outcomes and implications for practice, applications and consequences are identified? Not all papers will have practical implications but most will. What changes to practice should be made as a result of this research/paper?
